History

After being assigned as the School Resource Deputy at Meadowbrook Elementary School, our founder quickly recognized several safety and security concerns on the campus. Upon discussing these issues with the principal, our founder partnered closely with the school’s PTA to address the concerns. Through the collective efforts of teachers, staff, students, and families, over $100,000 was raised over two years to enhance the safety and security of the school for everyone on campus.

This experience sparked a broader realization. In conversations with other School Resource Officers and deputies, it became clear that the challenges faced by Meadowbrook Elementary were not unique—they were widespread across many schools. To help address these concerns on a larger scale, The Safer Schools Initiative was founded, dedicated to improving safety in schools everywhere.
